  • Abstract:  Brink is set in the near future, on an artificial island known as the Ark. As sea levels are on the rise, much of the planet has become uninhabitable, making the Ark humanity’s last hope. With continuous streams of refugees flocking towards the Ark, ma...

  • Abstract:  This video game review looks at the new first person shooter Brink. Its ad campaign is slick and promises to set the pace for future games in the genre, but does it live up to the hype?Brink is a first person shooter that brings a unique style to the e...

  • Smooth free-running system; plenty of customisation options; fosters teamwork among players.
  • Not much content; limited number of maps; AI allies are dumb.
  • Brink isn't the sharpest shooter out in the market right now. There is no real single-player campaign (there are only 12 main missions) so it is mostly designed as a multiplayer affair right off the bat. The game's customisation options are great as i...

  • To summarize, Brink can best be classified as a learning experience. This may sound strange, but I hope to see a Brink 2 – in other words, what this game could have and should have been. The idea of a team-based parkour-shooter with classes, levels and...

  • Abstract:  The First Person Shooter (FPS) genre just refuses to die down for even a little while doesn't it? We're treated to endless quantities of titles that promise to differ from others that have been released over the years, and more often than not they prove t...

  • Splash Damage has evolved its compelling formula to offer some of the best multiplayer thrills in the business. Unfortunately technical problems still plague the game and prevent it from becoming a truly big player in the online shooter market. ...

  • Gorgeous visuals, with decent sound; tightly focused team based play; serious depth in customisation; ever changing objectives are excellent; online is an absolute blast
  • Offline is a bit poor; needs player coordination, and fails heavily without it; small number of maps; single player storyline is throwaway

  Published: 2011-06-01, review by: muropaketti.com
