  • Amazing low light performance, Strong macro results, The touchscreen is responsive
  • It tends to saturate colors, Manual ISO selection only up to ISO 800
  • The TX1 sells for Rs 20,990, that's Rs 1,000 more than the WX1, so it's going to be really difficult to chose one over the other. In the end its going to come down to personal choice and preference with touch interface, wide angle lens (on the WX1...

  • Good low light shooting with new image sensor
  • Bad image noise at high ISO settings
  • The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX1 is a super-slim camera that packs in a competent image sensor and takes reasonable photos. It’s not particularly fast and its high ISO settings introduce significant noise, but it might be a decent camera to take out for...

  • A stylish compact that puts in a pretty good performance. It lacks a little in the focal range department and there are no manual controls, but the TX1 offers some great features and sturdy build quality. ...

  • Excellent 'sweep panorama' mode; 10-frames-per-second shooting at full resolution; good performance at high ISOs
  • Very expensive; 4x non-wideangle zoom; awkward lens-cover action; wasted screen area in 4:3 stills mode
  • The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX1 is such an amazing fusion of style and technology that it's easy to overlook some pretty basic issues. It's too easy to drop when you're trying to slide the lens cover open, the 16:9 ratio LCD display is an inefficient size...

  • The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX1 joins the small but growing list of compact cameras that are concentrating on image quality rather than simply increasing the megapixel count, and largely delivers on its promise. But a steep price-tag (particularly in the...

  • Incredibly sleek, slim body , Party dock is a novel accessory , Good performance in low-light
  • No wide-angle lens , Images slightly soft at full magnification
  • Sony's DSC-TX1 is an exciting step forward for compact cameras, pushing for better image quality rather than more megapixels — and it pulls it off in style....

  • Abstract:  If I had to choose I wouldn't hesitate a second and jump over to the TX1 for its great design and ultra compact size. Granted the TX1 offers slightly less impressive (but not much) photos than the WX1, on other hand it offers an outstanding ratio size performance that will make you forget everything else.

  • Helpful, intuitive touchscreen, Generally very responsive, 720p HD video with zoom and stereo sound, Well finished, Good handling of different sensitivities
  • Low screen resolution and greasy fingerprints, Zoom control, Some details poorly thought out, No wideangle mode, Uses Memort Stick cards
