Empire Bay is a fantastic embodiment of the 1940s/50s; really sharp cinematography and mostly solid voice acting; wellbuilt experience with a handful of notable moments.
Most exciting moments in game are seen and not played; superficial narrative fails to explore briefly mentioned themes; streamlined campaign lacks side missions or exploration.
Abstract: For all of the hard work that has obviously gone into Mafia II, I really wanted more than what it finally delivered. I enjoyed the story, characters, and setting, and I learned to overlook the narrative problems so I could sit back..
